In Memorial Fundraiser FAQ’s

1. How do I share my fundraising page with friends and family?

Go to   dav.org/ InMemory and login. Once logged in, copy your fundraising page URL and paste it in an email, text, or your social media feeds. It’s that easy!
 
2. Is there a fundraising minimum to participate?
There is no fundraising minimum to participate but we simply can’t do this without your help! We encourage you to reach out to family and friends and kindly ask them to support your fundraiser.
 
3. What should I do if someone gives me cash or check in person?
Please mail donations to DAV National Headquarters at 860 Dolwick Drive, Erlanger, KY 41018, ATTN: Remittance Processing/DAV In Memorial. In order to ensure you receive credit for the donation, please note In Memorial and your fundraising page name in the memo field of the check. We will accept cash donations but we highly discourage sending cash in the mail.
 
4. Is there a fundraising deadline?
Of course not! You can fundraise year after year.
 
5. Can I send my donation through the mail?
Yes, however we do not recommend sending cash in the mail.  Please mail checks to DAV National Headquarters, 860 Dolwick Drive, Erlanger, KY 41018, ATTN: Remittance Processing/DAV In Memorial. Be sure to note your fundraiser name and DAV In Memorial on the memo field. 
 
6. I mailed a donation but don’t see it on my donor list.
Please allow up to three weeks for donations to be processed.
 
7. How do I make a donation to a specific fundraiser?
Visit   dav.org /InMemorial and click on the red donate button. On the donation page, search for the name of the fundraiser. Click on the red donate button when prompted and complete the remaining steps to make your donation. 
 
8. Where does the money go?
Funds raised through the DAV In Memorial website support DAV’s (Disabled American Veterans) mission of fulfilling our promises to the men and women who served. Just as America’s service members fought for us, DAV fights for them. DAV assists veterans by helping them gain access to the medical, financial and educational benefits they’ve earned along with connecting them to meaningful employment opportunities. 9. Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes! You will receive an automated receipt which will include the tax deductible language, after your donation is processed; please keep a copy for your records.
 
10. How can I see who has donated to me?
Visit   dav.org/ InMemorial and sign into your account. Click view donations received from the top right menu options and then the list of donations as well as contributor name will appear.  
 
11. How do I get a copy of my donation receipt?
